The Proud Frog
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi WabarakatuhOnce there was a proud frog who lived in a pond. He lived there with his other friends. The proud frog felt that he was cleverer and better than his friends. Everyday he would tell the others about how great he was.
The proud frog also did not want the others to be cleverer than him. If there was anybody who was good at swimming and leaping, he would learn to be better than the others.
One day, the proud frog and his friends were playing beside the pond. Suddenly, a buffalo came to the pond to drink. The frogs were shocked to see such a big animal. Then they quickly jumped into the pond and swam away.
Back home, the frogs were talking about the buffalo. The proud frog was angry because there was a greater animal than him. He tried to compare himself with the buffalo.
"I must look greater than the buffalo. I cannot let him beat me. I don't want him to be more famous than me," thought the proud frog.
Then the proud frog stretched his stomach. His stomach become bigger.
"Look, I can also be big like that buffalo!" said the frog proudly.
"What a big stomach!" the other frogs said.
The boastful frog was so proud. he stretched his stomach futher. He did not give up as he wanted to be bigger than the buffalo. Slowly his stomach became bigger and tighter like a balloon. But still the proud frog was not satisfied. He stretched his stomach again. Suddenly, there was a loud "bang!" The proud frog's stomach had burst.
The other frogs were shocked. The proud frog had died from his own foolishness.
Moral :
