The Donkey And The Mule

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

One day, a farmer went travelling together with his donkey and mule. The donkey and the mule were used to carry the farmer's heavy bags.

the donkey was smaller in size, he was carrying the same load as the mule. However, the donkey did not say anything. It was fine when the donkey was walking on a level road but he was tired when climbing up a hill,

The donkey was very tired and could not stand the heavy load anymore. "Excuse me, Mr. Mule! Can you please help me carry half of my load? I can't stand it anymore," asked the donkey.

"I am carrying the same load as you. If I help to carry half your load, then I will also feel tired like you," said the mule. The mule did not want to help the donkey. He did not feel pity on the donkey who could not work anymore.

The mule then continued walking without caring for the donkey who was tired and already sick. Finally, the donkey fell and died. The farmer was very sad but there was nothing he could do about it.

The farmer continued his journey with the mule. The donkey's load was placed on the mule. The mule became angry as he had to carry double the load now. He regretted for not helping the donkey. If he had helped the donkey, the donkey would not have died. Besides that, he has to carry such a heavy load now.

Moral value : We must help others who are in trouble.
